The milkman, the paperboy and EVENING TV.

Good Evening!

So, tonight was a reality TV double whammy... Big Brother and So You Think You Can Dance elimination episodes!

Big Brother was relatively predictable with Laura being evicted, as expected, and Jessie winning HOH for the second time in three weeks. I was happy to see Laura go, as her mustache and rat fangs were starting to freak me out. That's a horrible thing to say, but since she introduced herself in the premiere episode by saying "I'm a b****" I feel justified in not caring if I insult her. I was actually happy to see Jessie win HOH. I wasn't a big fan of him last season, but I think he has really learned a lesson since then and came back a much smarter player. Or maybe the rest of these yahoos are just that annoying. Lydia, Chima and Ronnie are really just horrible people who need to go home immediately, in my humble opinion. I look to see that happen soon. The sooner the better, in fact. It will be interesting to see what Jessie does this week. I caught Big Brother After Dark on Showtime last night and learned that the whole house made a plan to backdoor Ronnie this week. HOWEVER, I think Jessie may think he has Ronnie's loyalty, at least for now, and may decide to go in another direction. I look for him to go after Lydia, Kevin, Casey or maybe Jordan? I'm gonna try to avoid watching BBAD between now and Sunday, because I don't like to know the nominees before the actual episode airs on Sunday(at 8/7 central!).

So You Think You Can Dance aired it's 100th episode tonight! This didn't sound all that exciting to me, but I was pretty stoked when I realized that they were going to bring back a few of the standout performances from the last 4 seasons... I was particularly happy to see Travis and Heidi back with the Mia Michaels "Bench" routine that got her an Emmy nod in season 2. Did she actually win the Emmy for that? Not sure... I was also excited to see the monster/zombie group routine from the same season. Loved that one too! Yay! Katie Holmes also came to perform tonight... she did more singing that dancing I think, but was pretty enjoyable. Gave me a flashback to her Dawson's Creek days... man, I loved that show! How much she's changed since then, eh? Anyway, I was sad to see Jason go home... He was one of my favorites! I am ashamed to say that I am one of those people who bases my favorites on personalities and likability rather than actual dance abilities. I would have much rather seen Brandon go home, because while he's a good dancer I just think he seems too cocky. Evan, on the other hand, is completely adorable even if he doesn't get as much dance praise from the judges. It's not his fault he has "hooded" eyes and can't seem to show as much expression because of them! Blah. For the girls, I was happy to see Janette go home. I would have preferred to see Melissa go, but after the tear-jerking breast cancer routine by Tyce Diorio last night I can see why she and Ade were spared. It was poignant as all get-out. I guess two weeks til the finale... I hope Jeanine and Evan make it to the end, but I don't see that happening. Oh well.

Also watched Royal Pains on USA Network tonight... There's something about Mark Feuerstein that is so just sweet. I remember loving him back in the 90's when he guest-starred on Caroline in the City, and then went on to star in the short-lived Conrad Bloom. Such a cutie, he is. I find that show to be just so refreshingly light-hearted and relaxing. If you haven't checked it out yet, do so immediately. Thursdays at 10 on USA.

During tonight's episode of Royal Pains I caught a preview for the new fall show, White Collar. Apparently it doesn't premiere until October, which is a shame because the preview got me pretty excited. It's starring Matthew Bomer as a convicted felon of some sort who is released from prision to help solve crimes? If you don't know Matthew Bomer yet, you will. He is Ah-mazing. I loved him on the way too short-lived series Traveler. If Traveler ever comes out on DVD I recommend that you buy it immediately cause it was fantastic! Matt also guest-starred on Chuck as Chuck's ex-bestie/sometimes-nemesis Bryce Larkin. Great actor indeed.

Guess that's all for now. This blog would probably feel a lot more purposeful if anyone actually read it, but what can ya do? At least it's honing my opining skills. Maybe I'll be the next Michael Ausiello, lol. Ausiello, by the way, is at Comic Con right now interviewing massive celebrities such as the cast of True Blood. Am I insanely jealous? Absolutely.

Yawn. And on that note, goodnight.
Linz :)
