Supernaturals are so hot right now! I have been reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, which are the basis for the True Blood tv series on HBO. Awesome, awesome books, fyi. The new, ninth, one just came out in hardback and I've got to decide whether to get it or wait for the paperback. I've also read the Twilight books by Stephenie Harris, of course. They really aren't just for teenyboppers!
Anyway, two new supe tv shows coming up. The first of these premieres tonight! At 9pm on BBC America, Being Human will premiere. It's about three roommates who happen to be a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost. I'm hoping that the writing will be good enough to back up the interesting premise. Also, in the fall, the CW will premiere Vampire Diaries, a show based on the novels of the same name by LJ Smith. I read the first book and wasn't overly impressed, but I figure that gives the show some room for improvement. So, looking forward to that as well.
Fingers crossed that tonight's premiere doesn't suck.
